Week 1: New Jersey and Connecticut

Our first official week on the road has commenced and it has been quiet the adventure! While our first stops have not been too far from our home base in New York, we certainly feel like foreigners at each school. One of our highlights has been hearing from students how they can use the Millennium Villages Project as a model in thinking about how to create sustainable change in their communities. We have ignited several conversations around how community is defined and what it means to them. We even met students who grew up in Ghana, Jamaica, and Dominican Republic and shared their own experiences of how life is different and (sometimes) similar to what they saw in the exhibit.
